An unforgettable sea journey from Bodrum to Kos Island, the closest Greek island to Türkiye, awaits you. You can choose a fast catamaran (approximately 45 minutes) or, if you prefer a longer cruise experience, a regular ferry.
All departures operate from the International Maritime Terminal in Bodrum, where duty-free shopping is also available.
Kos Island holds an important place in history as the birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of medicine. One of the island’s most famous landmarks, the Tree of Hippocrates, stands in a popular square in the old town.
Key historical sites you can explore on the island include:
Asklepion – Considered the first hospital in the world, founded by Hippocrates
Neratzia (Knights’) Castle – An impressive medieval fortress located right next to the port
Casa Romana – A beautifully restored Roman villa
Altar of Dionysus – A significant ancient monument
Tourist mini-trains near the port provide easy access to inland attractions such as the Asklepion.
After sightseeing, we recommend trying traditional Greek gyros, served with fries and tzatziki.
